Dual front and side airbags as standard

Your safety is not an option. For peace of mind, there are front and side-mounted airbags on both driver and passenger sides. As a further initiative, Lexus has fitted a driver's knee airbag to help protect the lower limbs.

Rear View Camera* with Rear Guide Assist

For safer reversing, you've the guidance of a rear view camera discreetly mounted above the licence plate. Select reverse and a colour image of what's immediately behind your rear bumper appears on the EMV screen. Rear Guide Assist (RGA) gives you a more precise indication of distances.

Side curtain shield airbags from front to rear

To help reduce the impact of severe side-impact accidents, side curtain airbags run from the front to the rear and deploy from above the doors to cover the side windows.

Intelligent braking with ABS

As you brake in emergency situations, the four channel, four sensor ABS braking system with Brake Assist (BA) can interpret your braking actions and supplement braking. In this way, the system can increase the braking effort during emergency stopping.

*Rear view camera is designed as a driver assist device only and should not be used as a substitute for skilled driving and safe parking practices. The area into which the vehicle is to be reversed must still be visually monitored by the driver while parking. Keep reversing speeds under five kilometres per hour. Camera images may be affected by the weather and light conditions. Always observe skilled driving and safe parking practices.
